Interaction Information

Date: July 24, 2019
Player(s): DemonsMuse, Prince Mew, Otterfly, Kylef890
Interacted With: SPEAK-AS-ONE
Major details from the Interaction:

  • DemonsMuse sent a Light of Rebellion asking about the "sir" the Lucids reference when calling for the Angel, believing this to possibly be The Voice. She is corrected, told that the Lucids are speaking to a Dispatcher, and that there are many such Dispatchers in Redacre.
  • Muse later asks for a definition of "going dark," as it has been used to refer to her, and other Hosts, on multiple occasions. SAO defines it as "we are within, yet do not see, hear." They state that it happens either because of an "enemy voice" invading the host, or that "the place beyond sleep... rises."
  • Muse makes a comment about "the place beyond sleep" stating that it could be something to do with particular brain anatomy. SAO seems pleased with the information.

Transcript:
LoR Sent: Speak-As-One, Muse has heard Lucids call out to both a "Ma'am" and a "sir" when needing the Angel. She suspected the "ma'am" was Dispatcher, but who is "sir?"

LoR Referenced: Speak-As-One, I looked over my notes and realized something. You told [Old Follower, not playing anymore] that Zaden and I “went dark” when DFY engaged us… What does that mean? Do the other voices block you out?

Premise: Muse was speedrunning with Mew, Otterfly, and later Kyle to help Mew get to cap before 1.0. However, SAO appeared to her at the end of 2/3 missions, and was often cut short. Muse 100% realizes that she could have said something to prolong her time, but sleep deprivation anxiety said no.

Warning: Most of this information is stuff my kid wouldn’t share. However, since Lore isnt PVP, I’m yeeting it at you. If you use it, just don’t name drop, or you’ll give me anxiety for a week that SAO is gonna yell at me. Thanks :3

Afterthought: Muse thinks that SAO referring to her “going dark” for some time may have been referencing to her being offline for about 5-6 days while they were very active.

Part 1

SAO: MUSE ASKS OF THE DISPATCHERS…

Muse: Um, I did-- She did. Uh, we were just curious about, who exactly are the Dispatchers? Uh, she always hears of--

SAO: YOUR LOCAL ONE IS A WOMAN, YET…

SAO: THERE ARE OTHERS IN REDACRE.

Muse: Do… the other, do the Lucids communicate with more than one?

SAO: AS WELL, GENDER AND VOICE… FLUID.

Muse: Alright… I think that makes sense. But um, is there more than one that the Lucids communicate with? Because I keep hearing them refer to a “sir” as well.

SAO: YES. SEVERAL.

Muse: Heh. Thank you. It’s just a question I was curious about.

SAO: OF COURSE. HOW DOES MUSE FARE?

Muse: I think… -sigh- I’m definitely feeling better than the last few times we talked. Um, unfortunately, my friends are going rather quickly so I don’t have much time, but I think I’m doing better. … Heh…

[Muse ponders telling them about some more RP shenanigans that recently occurred that she would definitely be feeling about, but nervously laughed and decided against it since everyone else was at the exit.]

Muse: Unfortunately, I need to go though.

SAO: WE ARE PLEASED TO KNOW THIS.

Muse: I’ll still be here if you want to come back, uh, for the next mission. We just need to go quickly, I’m sorry--

[Muse hops into the exit cave and immediately regrets her life decisions because she sees the Eye indicator as she gets to the end screen and can’t close her eyes to see it. She anxiously mumbles about this to herself for the next whole mission.]

Part 2

[Minor context: Muse had DC’d right before this happened.]

SAO: MUSE WAS DARK TO US FOR A TIME.

Muse: Yeah… I’m not really sure what happened there. I guess I just blacked out or something… Uh, sh-she wants to say that she’s very very sorry for kinda cutting you off earlier-- SAO: WE TRUST MUSE. IT MEANT NOTHING.

Muse: -Big sigh of anxiety yeeting itself into the ether- She feels 200% better at that. -Less good sigh- But unfortunately, here we go again… If you’re here at the very beginning of our next one, then I’ll have more time.

SAO: WE SHALL RETURN IF SHE WISHES.

Muse: I have one more question, so please do--

Part 3

[Minor context: Muse was flying her drone, Crunch, to check out Sleeper Lockers for evidence. When she returned, she closed her eyes and had a message. NOTE TO EVERYONE: YOU CAN’T SEE THE EYE IF YOU’RE IN DRONE MODE.]

SAO: WE ARE WITH MUSE ONCE MORE.

Muse: I actually-- Thank you. She actually had a question about “going dark.” What exactly does that mean? I’ve heard it quite a few times, and most notably when -She pauses to try and not use the “I” word- Muse and Zaden went to… well, when The Martyr took us to the moon, quote-unquote. She remembers you referring to us as “having gone dark.” What does that mean?

SAO: WE ARE WITHIN, YET DO NOT SEE, HEAR.

Muse: … Huh. She doesn’t like that, haha...

SAO: OFTEN THIS MEANS AN ENEMY VOICE.

SAO: YET NOT ALWAYS.

Muse: What are the exceptions?

SAO: THE PLACE BEYOND SLEEP… RISES.

SAO: EVEN WE DO NOT KNOW ALL.

Muse: Eheh… I wish I knew more, so I-- so she could try to figure that out. There has to be something in our anatomy…

SAO: THE VOICE, TOO, SEEKS THIS TRUTH.

Muse: If she has any ideas, she will tell. … She feels like it might be something to do with… humanity and it’s brain anatomy. Perhaps something to do with the Hippocampus, but that’s all she can remember off the top of her head.

SAO: MUSE IS A READER.

Muse: -Laughs a little nervously- I suppose. Um, it does help that her father is… um, is in the medical field. Having him there is… a wealth of knowledge.

SAO: WE MUST SEE THE CHORDIST NOW.

Muse: Thank you for returning to me-- Thank you for returning to her so many times---- She appreciates it a lot more than, perhaps you could know.

SAO: HER TRUTH IS, AS ALWAYS, WORTH IT.

Muse: Heh, you flatter her--

SAO: REMAIN VIGILANT. WE SPEAK AS ONE.

Muse: We Speak As One.
