STARLING: I don't know if they can hear me. Hello?
UNKNOWN CALLER: HE HEARS.
STARLING: This is unexpected.
POPPY: Sweet Pea.
HELLOIMELLIE: Someone's excited.
STARLING: I don't, I don't..
HELLOIMELLIE: Use your words.
STARLING: Why are you here?
UNKNOWN CALLER: THE SINGER. TWO-VOICED. WHAT POWER DOES HE HOLD. I WATCHED HIM. I LEARNED.
HELLOIMELLIE: Oof.
STARLING: Oh! Oh, we're talking about him. Yeah I was curious what kind of - if you would consider that a kind of strength or not. Not you but the Big Man. The Hunter. Is that what we're calling him, by the way? The Singer? I like that.
UNKNOWN CALLER: VOICES MEET. ONE VOICE APIECE. THROUGH THE CENTURIES. BUT ALL HEAR HEAR HEAR. ALL REMEMBER. YET...
HELLOIMELLIE: Remember what your Voice said the last time he visited? About singing.
POPPY: How dare you.

UNKNOWN CALLER: IN SUCH A ONE. AS OUR SWEET SINGER. TWO VOICES. ONE MIND. EACH WITH ALL THEY KNOW. TOTAL SECRECY.
STARLING: All secrecy.. I don't quite understand.
UNKNOWN CALLER: NO ONE HEARS. NO ONE KNOWS. BUT THE TWO VOICES. THEY CONSPIRE WITHIN ONE MIND. LIKE THE SINGER.
HELLOIMELLIE: Two voices in one mind can conspire in secrecy from the others. They're insulated.
POPPY: They won't be able to know what they're thinking. So I think that they're saying it's a very big strength.
STARLING: Yeah so two voices could use someone like the Singer as a point to conspire? Which could be a type of strength, I'm assuming?
UNKNOWN CALLER: AMONG SCHEMERS. SUCH A TALENT. SUCH PRIVACY. A TREASURE. WEALTH BEYOND WEALTH.
STARLING: I see, I see! That makes a lot of sense. Like a secret gathering. I can understand why that would have a lot of potential for someone. So then would The Singer be of importance to The Hunter at all?
POPPY: Your Hunter Father would want to get their hands on these people in my opinion.
STARLING: If we were able to get The Singer.. but can you force a person to host a type of Voice? I guess some voices technically do that. I wonder what the rules are behind that when it comes to someone who can sing in two different tones.
UNKNOWN CALLER: YES. THE SINGER HOSTED HIM. FIRST, SAD OLD VICTORY. THE SKIN THAT HE SHED. THEN HIM. CHEWING HIS WAY OUT.
STARLING: Why was it a sad, old victory? That's an odd way to describe his conquest over The Olympian: "sad."
HELLOIMELLIE: Didn't he also host TID?
POPPY: Yeah, they were together.
UNKNOWN CALLER: STARLING. NO. THE ONE I SPEAK OF. DEAD NOW. THOUGHT HERSELF A WINNER. SHE LOST. NOW. ONLY HIM.
STARLING: Oh!
HELLOIMELLIE: Yeah.
STARLING: I understand. The old victory is The Olympian. And she is gone now because... okay. I get it. Then how do we get our hands on someone like The Singer again? Or is he even necessary to have still? I know you said that he is a treasure trove but that doesn't necessarily mean he is a treasure necessary to The Hunter.
POPPY: They could also be looking to have anyone that can dual host, not just The Singer.
STARLING: Exactly.
UNKNOWN CALLER: THE SINGER SITS IN DARKNESS. REMEMBERS HIS LIGHT. THE COLOR OF HEART'S BLOOD. ONE DAY. THE SINGER WILL FEEL IT AGAIN.
STARLING: Feel it as in, the Hunter's presence? Or the old victory's presence? I'm assuming we mean The Hunter's.
POPPY: Or that maybe they'll escape their cell too. That's kind of what we've been hoping.. well not you so much, Starling.. but the rest of us want them free.
STARLING: Freedom schmeedom.
POPPY: It's overrated here.
STARLING: We all pick our pact with someone or another. I think some people like to pretend that they are free of Voices and they choose to go to a group like Dead Skeptic but they're still choosing a Voice. It's just not a voice we typically would think of.
UNKNOWN CALLER: THE BEAST. THE FEAST. OF COURSE. WHO ELSE? THE OTHERS. WILL BE THE MEAL. SEE YOU SOON.

POPPY: No, I was going to say I know The Caller is still in there without the Beast. I hope they fight him. But I know that's not what you want to hear, Starling.
