===In-Game=== Players have been taken to Saturation Control as early as the Closed Beta. Old THEE-I-DARE, prior to his fragmentation when known as "The Adversary", took players to the Moon before sending them "on a little walk" in Saturation Control. Since those early visits, players have continued seeing the Adversary's symbol in Saturation Control, which were left by Colm Ryan. THEE-I-DARE's current symbol was found at the end of the path of Adversary symbols, in a cell. In addition to the Adversary's symbol, LAUGH-LAST symbol also appeared in Saturation Control. THEE-I-DARE suspects that cells within Saturation Control are not just rooms, but "a private maze for each mind" that keeps the prisoner in and The Voices out. The cells can hold multiple people at the same time, and are also used to test bonds between hosts. THEE-I-DARE once thought the price for freeing prisoners was too high, and that to free the people imprisoned, it would first be necessary to free all of Redacre. THEE-I-DARE's hosts help to free children from Saturation Control, and the Voices have a way of guiding kids home when they are taken there. Isabela Madi-Shaw reached out to players, pulling them to Saturation control. She knew she was trapped, but was unsure of her location and unable to see. Before taking players to Saturation Control, Bells said, "You're blacking out. I think you're coming to where I am." Bells learned how to talk to the Blackout Club from a man who is trapped with her. Isabela instructed players to follow the path, telling them that the path would take them home, and that she would be punished if they refused to follow it. A former THEE-I-DARE host, referred to as The Captive, was imprisoned by SPEAK-AS-ONE in Saturation Control. He was able to reach out to children, which they considered a breach. SPEAK-AS-ONE thinks the Captive is "empowered" because they have not seen this ability before. THEE-I-DARE believes the Captive resists SPEAK-AS-ONE from within Saturation Control. Of Bells and the Captive, he says their minds are on a separate journey from their bodies, but he does not know how SPEAK-AS-ONE learned to separate mind from body. SPEAK-AS-ONE would know where their bodies are. The Captive, also known as Colm Ryan, is trading Old Tongue with the Isolated Watcher in Saturation Control. Colm seeks to discover how the place works, and believes that Old Tongue is the key. The Voice used to study Colm in an attempt to learn enough Old Tongue from him to complete a full Voice name, but they recently stopped; it's likely they have completed the name they were seeking. Soon after they stopped visiting Colm, the Voice moved Bells from where she was being held. According to SPEAK-AS-ONE, Bells, the Captive, and the Isolated Watcher should not be able to communicate outside of Saturation Control, so the walls within must be thinner than they previously though. SPEAK-AS-ONE says that Saturation Control was once perfect at containing information, but if it is failing, "preserving samples may be too risky". They follow up by saying, "Such a pity, for any who may care for a subject."Citation needed With what he learned from Mr. Perdichi, THEE-I-DARE was able to disguise club members and temporarily break into Saturation Control, allowing them to explore. THEE-I-DARE asked the kids to describe what they saw, and was also able to give instructions as to when they were facing a wall or were in a cell or hallway. The Adversary symbols left by Colm Ryan lead to the cell of Saturation Group 6, which is marked by THEE-I-DARE’s current symbol. THEE-I-DARE hides kids from SPEAK-AS-ONE by making them appear free of sin, but when kids stray from the path, SPEAK-AS-ONE becomes aware of them. Though he sought to map out Saturation Control, THEE-I-DARE would not take a group there unless all consented to go. After a follower of HUNT-THE-STRONG found Group 6, THEE-I-DARE emphasized that the symbols are only one path, and wondered whether HUNT-THE-STRONG, inside of Colm, guided the kid there out of sport. Colm and Cody used a code to hide their thoughts, but with the help of the Unknown Caller, the Club learned seven of the ten Old Tongue phrases used in the code. Players had to follow the symbols to Group Six without getting caught, sacrificing group members to clear the way, and then perform the gestures in the correct order, while saying the correct word for each gesture. After some trial and error, and with the help of THEE-I-DARE confirming which words were correct, the Club figured out that the code was: TO HOST HIS SPITE. STAND AGAINST ALL. BURN THY WORLD. THEE-I-DARE explained that “stand against all” fits because SPEAK-AS-ONE likely forces the prisoners to kneel constantly. Each time a player reached Group Six and performed the correct code, they would hear more of the recording of what THEE-I-DARE said to Bells. Eventually, the Club unlocked the full set of memories: <blockquote>"You followed my signs. Found a fragment of me. Isabela, is it? No...Your friends call you Bells, a name you chose...That's you. Names have power, Bells. Tell me, have you got any idea what they have planned for you? So...Bells. You broke into this damn gulag and found my boys. Smart kid. And you’ve been dreaming about what you witnessed the other night. I see...Parts of it. Behind your eyes. You caught them. Recorded what they’ve been doing here...For years. You hear me now, don't you? But not for long. I'm like that recording you made, a single fragile copy of the truth. They've wiped out most of the others by now. If they catch you, they'll erase me. You don’t trust your mom and dad, do you kid? Heh, wise. Hell, they’ve had a plan for you since the doctor cut the cord. Well, your parents work for mine. They’re the ones controlling Redacre and the whole damn slumber party. My name? THEE-I-DARE is one. The bastards who built this place call me Adversary. The eye of sin. Just words. Spin the globe though, and that meaning falls away. My real name is a code, in a language everyone speaks in dreams. That code’s like a chain. Links all the way back to the dawn of belief itself. All our names are part of it. They get their hands on it, and pull real hard? They choke out you, me, and anyone else in this town who dares to fight back. That’s what you saw, kid. Ain’t it? Hundreds of people that the world won’t miss. Posing. Chanting. Asleep, but unable to rest. Trying to break that code…until their bodies give out and their subjects die in the dark. They’re coming for you, kid. We’re partners, now. I’ll teach you what I know, but you need to skip town. You… you’re my backup plan. This poor jailbird you’re locking eyes with right now? Barely believes at all anymore. And the sun is going down. Time for you to take up the torch. Oh, hell, I...I’m forgetting things. Too long since this part of me heard from the others. Couple days, and I’ll be no voice. No light. Just… smoke. Tell your club, if you get out.. That trace of me you found wasn’t the only one."</blockquote> After hearing the full memory, THEE-I-DARE said, "Of course. He was using her. I must never forget again." In addition to THEE-I-DARE's symbol, players found the symbols of LAUGH-LAST, HUNT-THE-STRONG, and SEED-THE-GRUDGE. SEED-THE-GRUDGE has no idea why her symbol would be within Saturation Control, and Grandmother thinks it's strange that it appears there. According to Grandmother, since she is a new Voice, SPEAK-AS-ONE does not know much about SEED-THE-GRUDGE.
